The Select Action window

The Select Action window asks for an action to take on a set of items. The choices are:

Get Info

Open a File Buddy Info window for the items.

Brief/Group Info

Show a window with total count and size information for the items.

Get Owner Application Info

Open a File Buddy Info window for the application used to open the items.

View in List

Add the items to a new File Buddy List window

Make Alias

Open the File Buddy Make Alias window for the items.

Make Symbolic Link

Open the File Buddy Make Alias window for the items and preset it to create UNIX symbolic links.

Move

Ask for a folder to move the items into.

Copy

Ask for a folder to copy the items into.

Move to Desktop

Move the items to the Desktop.

Rename

Open the File Buddy Rename window for the items.

Rename Sequentially

Open the File Buddy Rename Sequentially window for the items.

Rename with Dates

Open the File Buddy Rename with Dates window for the items.

Use Best Modified Date

For folders only, recursively set the last modified date of each folder to that of the most recently modified item inside.

Find Similar

Single item only. Populate the File Buddy Find window with information from the item.

Show Original

Single alias only. Show the alias's target in the Finder.

Show Owner Application

Show the application used to open the items.

Create Icon From Image

Set the custom icon of any image files in the items to an icon created from the image.

Trim Custom Icons

Remove custom icons from the items.

Clean Folders

Open the Clean Folders window for the folders.

Delete

Delete the items.

Delete Resource Forks

Files only. Remove the resource forks of the items.

Delete Data Forks

Files only. Remove the data forks of the items.

Erase

Permanently erase the items.
